Chip Henderson, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
As Chief Executive Officer of Henderson Legal Services and a graduate of George Washington University Law School, Chip brings a combined 15 years of experience in intellectual property practice and the court reporting industry.
Chip left his trademark law practice in 1997 to concentrate full-time on providing law firms with quality litigation support services. He has built Henderson Legal Services into a preeminent nationwide court reporting agency with a client list that includes virtually every major law firm in Washington, DC and throughout the country.
Scot Henderson, President and Co-Founder
As President, Scot brings over 20 years of executive leadership and management experience to Henderson Legal Services.
Scot works directly with senior litigators and case managers across the country to help them efficiently manage complex, multi-jurisdictional, multi-party cases. He drives the innovative use of technical applications to streamline the discovery process, including the use of streaming audio/video technologies, searchable online repositories, exhibit hyperlinking within transcripts, and video to transcript synchronization. He holds a BS in Business Management from Virginia Tech and an MA in Counseling and Psychology from Trinity International University.
Nan Marshall, Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Nan brings to Henderson Legal Services more than 15 years of experience in the court reporting and legal staffing industries.
Nan is responsible for our Calendar, Client Services, Production, Media, and Billing Departments, and oversees reporter selection, quality control, large case management, and overall operations management. She is an industry pioneer in offering one-stop, worldwide court reporting and litigation support services to corporations, government agencies and major law firms.
Nancy Huber, Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development, Nancy brings more than 30 years of legal industry experience to Henderson Legal Services. She is responsible for researching and implementing the latest technologies in court reporting and litigation support.
Nancy consults with clients to identify challenges and offer solutions for managing complex cases in the US and abroad. As a Certified LiveNote® Trainer, she has instructed hundreds of legal professionals on how to streamline and manage the deposition process to improve case management efficiency in a cost-effective manner.
C. Dean Shaw, Director of Client Services
Dean brings to Henderson Legal Services more than 20 years of experience in the field of court and deposition reporting, having served as a court reporting instructor, account manager, and sales and marketing director of a national court reporting firm.
Dean attended Bryan College of Court Reporting in Los Angeles, California. In 1985 he began a 14-year career as court reporting instructor in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Starting in 1993, Dean followed his students out into the field as a real-time editor at depositions and arbitrations. He joined the Sales & Development team of Henderson Legal Services in Washington, DC in 2006 and supports both local and national clients.
Kathy Hatcher, Director of Business Development
As a Director of Business Development, Kathy brings to Henderson Legal Services 18 years of business development experience including nine years of providing legal services to the local community.
Kathy spent four years providing cost-effective document management solutions to law firms and legal departments as a litigation support consultant and then transitioned to the staffing industry, where she became a highly-respected legal career consultant matching individuals' career goals to the needs of law firms and legal departments. Kathy's success in the legal industry has been attributed to her in-depth knowledge of the legal market as well as her consultative approach to bringing long-term value to her clients.
Michael Hunterton, Senior Manager for Litigation Support
As Senior Manager for Litigation Support, Michael combines his law school education with his years of experience in the court reporting and information technology industries to oversee all legal video, information technology and litigation support services for our clients.
Michael was a program manager for a private company serving the United States House of Representatives. He received his JD in 2003 from The Catholic University of America, where he was the technology editor for The Journal of Contemporary Health Law & Policy. Michael received an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics & Government from The American University in 1995. In 2006, Michael was awarded Certified Legal Video Specialist (CVLS) certification by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA). Michael is also a Certified LiveNote® Trainer and Certified LiveNote® Multimedia Expert. In 2009, Michael earned a Certificate in Realtime Systems Administration from the NCRA.
